In 2024, Optima Natura proudly joined Commit for Our Planet, a sustainability initiative led by Cosmetics Europe, the European leading association for the cosmetics industry. This voluntary program sets specific environmental commitments to support a more sustainable future for the sector and for society.

Our Commitments under Commit for Our Planet:

Climate – Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Implementation of a system to measure and monitor Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the GHG Protocol.
Goal – full reporting of emissions and identification of reduction areas.

Packaging & Recycling

Expanding information on our product labels and packaging regarding proper sorting rules, in accordance with local recycling systems.
Conducting information campaigns on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to increase consumer awareness of recycling and responsible packaging management.
Analyzing and increasing the share of recycled materials in glass, metal, and paper packaging.
Reducing the use of uncertified, virgin wood-based materials in packaging.

Acting for Nature in our Operations

Systematic measurements of water consumption and the amount and type of waste generated.
Analysis of monthly and annual data to identify areas requiring improvement and further environmental action.
